Salles-Argelès is a charming, small village on the hillside of the Pibeste mountainchain, at 700m altitude, it has at least three curiosities, it's Roman style church from the XIIIth century with it's magnificent altarpiece, it's renovated square tower and the sawmill built in 1925 replacing the ancient mills where generations of people used the ingenious system to 'manipulate' the bark.

In the same village, Bernard and Sandrine have renovated an ancient cottage on a southfacing slope to create two spacious gîtes suitable for a large family. Each one has a an open plan living area with fireplace and fully equipped American kitchen.

Where to find Salles-Argeles on the map
At Lourdes, take the RN 21 road towards Argelès-Gazost. At 300m from the village of Agos-Vidalos, take the Ouzous direction, Salles is on your right. Go through the village of Ouzous towards Salles. When at Salles, turn left at the Place de la Mairie. It's the first on the right.
